Controversial Kraków Advice: Don't Leave the City

The honest math nobody tells you: each of those trips is a whole day gone. The Salt Mine, Auschwitz, Zakopane - none are in Kraków, and once you count travel there and back, three "add-ons" quietly eat your entire weekend. Do all three and you'll have technically been near Kraków without ever really seeing it. And Auschwitz in particular deserves its own unhurried day - not a slot squeezed between a mine and a mountain town. Give the city itself three days. It earns them.
